- Red Cross Supports Manassas Fire & Rescue at Mayfield School

Prince William Chapter was on the scene February 12, 2010 in support of Manassas Fire & Rescue as they explored the roof damage to Mayfield Intermediate School caused by the historic snow storm.  Disaster response volunteers Bob Jones and Chuck Mudd were on hand to serve food and beverages.  Some of which was donated by neighboring Liberia Avenue Chick-fil-a and Starbucks.

Both Red Cross volunteers had just finished up with shelter operation duties at Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Department in Prince William County. The shelter was opened from Saturday, February 5 until noon Thursday, February 11 to assist citizens displaced by the storm.  The Red Cross is scheduled to be on scene at Mayfield least through Saturday, February 13, 2010.
